Meal Plans for Faculty & Staff

These plans feature two options for faculty and staff, including an account balance of all you-care-to-eat meals at the University Dining Center with a Dining Dollar account balance to use at any University Dining Services location and a separate Dining Dollar plan that offers bonus Dining Dollars.

20/30 Faculty/Staff   
Included in the plan are 20 meals for the University Dining Center and $30 Dining Dollars to be used at any University Dining Services location. Meals & Dining Dollars Do NOT Expire!

Want to bring a group to the University Dining Center for a meal instead of eating box lunches? 
Here are three simple payment options:
1. Complete a CAO-35 purchase order form.  The cashier at the University Dining Center will accept it for your group. The Business Office will ask for a Special Expense Form for processing payment.
2. Call the University Dining Services Office Manager, Jessica Swenstad at 507-389-2613 and request to purchase meal tickets for the day you are taking your group.  Your department will be billed just as you’d be billed for box lunches.  (You may still have to complete a CAO-35 purchase order form for the Business Office.)  
3. Pay the cashier at the University Dining Center with cash or personal credit cards.

2023-2024 Meal Plan Options 

Many dining options are available to students. Each plan has two components: a meal plan and dining dollar plan. Meal plans determine the number of meals available for either the week or the semester. Each meal plan will receive three guest meals per semester.  A dining dollar plan is like a prepaid debit account that can be used at any of the campus dining facilities.

Any Time Plan
Unlimited Dine-In Access / Includes 100 Dining Dollars per semester

This ultimate meal plan is the closest thing to having your own kitchen. This plan allows you unlimited access to the University Dining Center, at less than $13 per day. Instead of dining in, you may select from all of our menu offerings and take your meal to-go in a reusable container.

$100 Dining Dollars are associated with the Maverick Any Time Plan each semester. These Dining Dollars can be utilized at any dining location on campus, at any time while the dining locations are open. You can also purchase additional Dining Dollars at any time. Important note: Your Dining Dollars will carry over from fall semester to spring semester; however any Dining Dollars balance not used by the end of spring semester will expire and be forfeited.

14 Plan
14 Meals per week / Includes 200 Dining Dollars per semester

The 14 Plan appeals to students who may only eat two meals each day and want a little flexibility. With this plan, each week you will have 14 meals that you can use in any manner you like. Hot to-go container meals are available on this plan as well. $200 Dining Dollars accompanies the Maverick 14 Plan each semester. These Dining Dollars can be utilized at any dining location on campus, at any time while the dining locations are open. You can purchase additional Dining Dollars at any time. Important note: Your Dining Dollars will carry over from fall semester to spring semester; however any Dining Dollars not used by the end of spring semester will expire and be forfeited.

160 Plan
160 Meals per semester / Includes $25 Dining Dollars per Semester/ Convert Meals to Dining Dollars

This plan offers the ultimate flexibility to customize your meal plan. Start out with 160 meals for the semester, then eat as many (or as few) meals each week as you would like up to 160 meals for the entire semester. Plus, you have the unique ability to convert any of the 160 meals a semester into Dining Dollars at a rate of $7.08 per meal, twice per semester. Deadlines apply for conversions: November 30th for fall semester and April 30th for spring semester.

With this plan, you can determine whether you want more traditional meals in the University Dining Center or have greater flexibility with Dining Dollars to be used at any dining venue on campus. Also available is the ability to take a to-go container out of the University Dining Center. Semesters are approximately 16 weeks long, resulting in an average of 10 meals per week.

Your $25 Dining Dollars, and converted Dining Dollars, can be utilized at any dining location on campus at any time while the dining locations are open. The Maverick 160 is the only plan that allows conversion of meals to Dining Dollars, and these Dining Dollars must be used in the semester in which they are converted.

Dining Dollar Plan
$250 Dining Dollars per Semester / No Dining Hall Meals Included

The Dining Dollar Plan includes a $250 Dining Dollar balance that can be utilized at any dining location on campus, at any time of the day. Students are welcome to use their Dining Dollars to buy meals in the dining hall at the per-meal door rate, as no specific numbers of meals are included in this plan. Dining Dollars carry over from fall to spring semester; however Dining Dollars not used by the end of spring semester will expire and be forfeited. A limited number of these plans are available. 2023-2024 Off-Campus Meal Plan Options 

Dining on campus is convenient and saves you money, as these meal plans are not subject to sales tax. University Dining Services offers two options for off-campus students, including a Voluntary Meal Plan option or Dining Dollar Plan option.

75/75 Plan

Included in the plan are 75 meals for the University Dining Center and $75 Dining Dollars to be used at any University Dining Services location. Voluntary Meals and Dining Dollars do carry over from fall semester to spring semester, but must be used by the end of the academic year.

50/50 Plan  
Included in the plan are 50 meals for the University Dining Center and $50 Dining Dollars to be used at any University Dining Services location. Voluntary Meals and Dining Dollars do carry over from fall to spring semester, but must be used by the end of the academic year.

25/25 Plan 
Included in the plan are 25 meals for the University Dining Center and $25 Dining Dollars to be used at any University Dining Services location. Voluntary Meals and Dining Dollars do carry over from fall to spring semester, but must be used by the end of the academic year.

Student Platinum Plan - $300 + 45 Dining Dollar Bonus
